A smelly e-mail
Sniffing the scent of the ocean while booking a vacation online or the smell of whisky and cigars while digitally listening to jazz. The British cable company Telewest adds a whole new dimension to internet: Smell!
The technology makes it possible to send and receive a large number of odours through e-mail. The user has to attach a special scent device to his computer. This device contains 20 aromas that, while mixed properly, can produce about sixty scents.

The sender will have to send a code along with the e-mail to attach a special odour to it. The scent divice translates this code into a special smell that will be spread all around the computer.
Think about it! The scent of fresh bread while doing your online shopping or a relaxing aromatherapy.
The scent device can easily be connected through on of your serial ports on your computer. The hardware can be bought for the price of 250 British pounds.

Yeah, it was a parody of course =) You can read more info about the iPhone (“completely redefining what you can do on a mobile phone”) here.
No, I will not get one… Way too overrated… I would much better get myself a Sony Ericsson K550i (Danish site) or Sony Ericsson W880i one (Tiny + Design + MP3 music player).
Sony DSC-T50
Finally I got myself a digital camera (after nearly 2 years tinkering which one to buy etc). My choice landed at the currently top-of-the-line Sony model DSC-T50. It’s an ultra-slim and stylish camera.

Not big, easy to take with me around, 7MP, can recorder video with audio, Carl Zeiss optics, modern design, huge 3-inch touchscreen LCD at the back of the camera, steady shot, “night mode”, ISO 1000, red-eye reduction (auto), really lots of options to choose from. I could go on and on with the description, but Steve made already a complete overview of this beaty which you can find at Steves Digicams (another review and one more).
I haven’t tried it yet in the daylight, but reviews says its quality is amazing. Night pictures were pretty impressive =)
